These past few weeks have been... crazy, and that's putting it nicely. I've been running around like a chicken with its head cut off [no joke]. Anyone who knows me knows that my coping skills aren't the greatest, but thankfully, I got through it [somehow....]
Over the past few weeks I have had some pretty had insomnia, and I slept outside a couple times, and I even spent a good hour hyperventilating in the nurse's, [among some other things we won't mention..]
As most of you noticed... I was a bit off. Well, things have calmed down - to the point of almost a standstill. And it scares me! I went from freaking about about just about everything, to freaking out because I have nothing to freak out about!
Now, that sounds pretty stupid - cause in truth I am relieved that all of the issues of the past few week have been solved, or are in the process of being solved. But I'm still about anxious about the whole thing. To quote Juno, I was "dealing with things wayyy beyond my maturity level."
This weekend, I have rediscovered my love for 60's folk music. Now, for those of you who just mentally wrote me off as completely crazy, I have one particular group in mind : The Mamas & The Papas. If I'm Ello/Messo, TM&TP's are my Beatles. If I'm Jacob Colbert, they're Nick Dobner. I've found that I have really expanded my taste of music of the past few years [when shuffle plays 60's folk that is followed by Marilyn Manson, you know something is up....] But I tend to listen to whatever plays to my emotions at the time, so my iTunes basically has schizophrenia!
But whatever gets me through it, is what I listen to. Right now, I'm California Dreamin, waiting for summer to bloom. I need a break after all the "mugwumps, high jumps, low slumps, big bumps---Don't you work as hard as you play. Make up, break up, everything is shake up; Guess it had to be that way."
So, "sweet dreams till sunbeams find you."

Okay... so maybe I'm a bit behind in my obsession. I can do that for things like RHPS or RENT though!
