An Afterthought On Drowning

Lately alot of my friends and I have been talking about the implications of the Main Line. This is a quick poem written by Kelsey that goes hand in hand with the issues I addressed in my post "Drowning In The Mainstream".

Silver Spoons
and BMW's
Everything we won't ever need
atomical amounts of things
simple;expensive;hollow
gleaming
and the souls that want it
How we don't deserve it
Handed to us on a platter
fruits of all kinds
while others barely have a scrap
and we just throw it all away
into the dumpsters; onto the streets
because "it's not good enough"
but truly I must ask
what is good enough?
When will you be satisfied?
After you've had your drink
and unbuckled your belt?
When will you call it quits
never I say. never.
